What Would You Do If You Could Not Fail?

Three simple questions . . .

  1. If you knew you could not fail and those around you would wholeheartedly support you, what would you do?
  2. Are you doing it?
  3. If not, then why?

Oh, and one final question . . .

If your reason for not doing something is that you’re afraid of failing or being judged . . . how much worse would that be than never having tried?

Think about it . . . and share your thoughts below . . . if you dare . . .

And remember this: it’s better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing perfectly.

  1. Good straightforward questions. If I knew I could not fail I would write and sell e-books, create and sell art and live life fully engaged.

Am I doing it? Yes—however I can afford to move the steps along!

    Thanks for the questions, Chris!

  2. OK, Chris… you asked. There are three things. 1. Broadway, baby! I would love to be on stage. 2. Teach music/theater arts and/or 3. Be a professional facilitator.

I’m doing pieces of it. Although I can’t do any community theater right now and miss it terribly, at least I have done it in the past. I do get to work with students – not specifically as a teacher, but I’m in a position to help further their interests and boost their self-esteem. Facilitating happens, but I’d really like to be able to focus on it and be known as someone to call for projects.

They “why’s” would go on for days. It’s all the usual… I don’t have time, I don’t feel confident, I don’t want to/can’t go back to school, etc., etc.

    Good questions! Thanks for asking…

  3. It takes courage to try and step up – fear of failure and judgement by others can be a huge barrier. But let’s all remember that the regrets we have are for the things we didn’t do. Not for the ones we did.

    Great blog Chris!
